Overview: 

Welcome! The Northeast Market Garden is a new project located at 2800 Johnson Street NE in Minneapolis.  As a “market garden,” City code requires the land be used solely to grow food and/or ornamental crops to sell or donate.  We are excited you are interested in this volunteer opportunity.

Please fill out the form below to sign up. Your information will be used to match you with volunteer opportunities that fit your interests, time constraints, and level of gardening experience.

Please circle or check any volunteer opportunities from the list below that interest you:

1. Assisting with construction projects, such as building raised beds, patio areas, greenhouses, rain collection systems, trellises, etc. 
2. Gardening assistance as needed (seed starting, transplanting, watering, weeding).
3. Helping prepare the Market Garden for community events. 
4. Maintaining a portion of a raised garden bed for food donation. 
5. Maintaining a particular type of garden, such as a high-contract garden for those with sensory impairments or a therapy garden. 
6. Mentoring other gardeners.
